Mayesville Smokehouse

Melissa Ervin Interior Design traveled to the South Carolina Midlands to restore and renovate historic buildings on a family farm in Mayesville. Though the main farmhouse couldn’t be saved, salvaged wood was repurposed in transforming the Smoke House into a residence. Open kitchen cabinetry, painted butted boards, salvaged beams, mill stones, and natural textures create a rustic, casual feel. An outdoor pavilion built from reclaimed materials completes the property, perfect for entertaining.
